(03/30/2020 4:25 PM) The Stay at Home order for Wayne and surrounding counties has been extended through April 30, 2020. This means that we will continue to conduct church online. We continue to try to find ways to expand our ministry during these challenging times. Please do not be discouraged. "If God be for us, who can be against us." This is all temporary. Please check on your church family and friends during this time with phone calls, mail, and social media. We don't want anyone to feel alone or isolated. God created us for fellowship. Press on, and we will see Sunday....online!

(03/21/2020 6:40 PM) Answers to questions: How long will this last? No one knows, so for now we are having services online. What can I do? Reach out to others via phone, text or social media. We are social by nature - try to stay connected. How do I handle anxiety and worry? Read the Scriptures, especially the Book of Psalms. Psalms 49 and 91 are favorites. Pray. Talk to others. Do not become isolated. Watch less news. My family is going crazy at home - what do I do? Exercise. Work around the house together. Get outside (social distancing). Play together. What if I get sick? Contact your doctor who will probably tell you to stay home and get better.
(03/17/2020 2:30 PM) For the next two weeks (through the month of March), all services at Hamlin Assembly of God will be conducted on-line. Sunday and Wednesday services will not be held at the building. At this time, the Food Pantry will occur on Monday, March 23, 2020. Please stay tuned here for ongoing information. The PennDel superintendent has recommended that we follow local, state and federal suggestions for mediating this virus. For more information from the PennDel Network (District) check out their new page for alerts here: www.penndel.org/alerts.
(03/13/2020 8:30 PM) All services and activities at Hamlin Assembly of God will be cancelled for a week, March 14, 2020, through March 20, 2020. This includes Saturday Prayer, Saturday PM service, Sunday service including lunch, and Wednesday activities. At this time, we are going to take it one week at a time. As many know, the Governor of Pennsylvania and has closed all K-12 schools through March 27, 2020. Pastor Ken will share a message on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at 11 AM via Facebook Live. We are looking at other ways to stay connected in the coming days. With technology, it is possible to have Sunday school and/or Bible studies using phones and/or computers.
Luke 18:1 (NIV) “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” This is certainly a time to “pray and not give up.” Do not be discouraged. Our hope is in the Lord, and with God all things are possible.
(03/12/2020 10:50 PM) Currently, Hamlin Assembly of God is NOT planning to cancel any services or events. The Pennsylvania Department of Health (health.pa.gov) is posting daily updates on their website, and we are monitoring them. This is the most current and relevant information available for those of us that live in Pennsylvania.
The Governor of Pennsylvania has instructed churches to use discretion and as recommended that meetings larger than 250 people be postponed. If and when the Department of Health or the Governor recommends that we cancel meetings in our area, then we will comply. Until then, we encourage everyone to follow the precautions recommended by the CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
• Clean – Wash
your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-
based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
• Cover any coughs or sneezes with their elbow, not their hands.
• Contain – If someone is sick, they should stay home until they are feeling better.
If you are sick, please stay home until you get better. If you would like prayer, text or message us. We will be streaming the Sunday morning service on Facebook.
We will be taking further precautions in church this Sunday. We will continue to discourage shaking hands and hugs, but we will still greet and encourage one another. We will be receiving our regular tithes and offerings, but we will not be passing the offering plates. All the restrooms have hand soap, and there are hand sanitizer dispensers in the foyer and in the classrooms.
Lord-willing, we will see you Sunday at 10:30 (or Saturday night at 6:30 PM).
